Framing denial of an accusation as confirmation of it, so no response can exonerate.
Named for Kafka's Trial. Its structure is unfalsifiable by construction, which is what distinguishes it from a merely unfair accusation — no available response counts as evidence against.
In practice
- An accusation of bias where denial is read as defensiveness and agreement as confession leaves no reply that counts as evidence.
- A review process in which any objection to the process is logged as resistance cannot be objected to.
